Project Fit Mum is Canberra’s exclusive fitness group to get Mums back into shape after having a baby! There are several locations to choose from with a flexible timetable to suit. Our aim is to help you get your pre-pregnancy body back and in the best shape of your life. No need to worry about what you will do with the kids because they can come along too, meaning you don’t need to pay for a creche or baby sitter!
We have a mix of indoor and outdoor locations to choose from and every class is different so you’ll never get bored. With functional fitness in mind we make exercising as fun as possible and mix it up with circuits, cardio, boxing, strength training and HIIT – all suitable from beginners to advanced. We also focus on strengthening up those areas left weak after giving birth. You can commence classes from approx. 12 weeks postpartum or once you have been given the all clear from your GP to commence exercising again.
Each class goes for approximately an hour as this is usually a good amount of time before the kids tend to get restless. During the classes children can be in the pram alongside you or in the safe designated play area where you can keep an eye on them. Our trainers will also be there to assist with the bubs when needed, giving you the most out of your workout.
